On Saturday August 20th Christmas came early when the world was found drooling over their iphones and androids due to the long and highly anticipated sophomore album. As a result of the torture Ocean put us through, crazed fans lost their sanity when Frank Ocean blessed the hip hop spectrum with his visual album titled “Endless”, music video to intro “Nikes”, and surprised pop up shops located throughout New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and London. Ocean’s team handed out free copies of his initial title LP, Boys Don’t Cry. The exclusive magazine also included the 17 track LP Blond with features from Kanye West, Beyonce, the late David Bowie, Kendrick Lamar, and Andre 3000. This elaborate magazine was far from disappointing; its size could be compared to a Vogue magazine which contained essays, poetry, and photos by many high ranked artists in the industry such as Yeezy himself.
The Grammy award winning artist disappeared from the face of the Earth. After four years of speculation to whether Ocean could ever redeem himself has truly come into fruition.

He’s definitely not lying about that part, fans have been pouring their outrage and frustration out on Twitter and Instagram for the past year. Although Apple Music has categorized Blond under the pop genre, his vocal tracks, feeds off of blues, soul, all while remaining centralized to R&B. Ocean expresses himself as a male whom isn’t afraid to put away his masculine ego and open up to his vulnerabilities, especially to “Ivy” singing:
I thought that I was dreaming when you said you love me.
I’m pretty sure every man and woman can correlate to that one past heartless lover. With his new album and soulful approach can Frank Ocean earn Best R&B album of the year, or is it too early?
